This herb, also known as perilla, has a flavor profile somewhere between mint and basil with hints of anise and cinnamon. We’ve even heard it called “bubblegum” flavored! It’s anti-inflammatory properties can be used to treat eczema, arthritis and asthma.
These tiny spade-shaped greens has an intense basil flavor and can be used in place of mature basil in Caprese salads pesto, pasta, etc!
